SALEM, Ore. — Lawmakers will be hearing from scientists Thursday, about pesticides and their effect on bees. Bee keepers and those in the agricultural business will be at the special legislative session. They’re asking for a ban against pesticides thought to kill bees.

Bee advocates say they’ll be delivering a petition that has 12,000 signatures so far. The hearing starts at 2 p.m. in Salem.
