There is a proposed plan amendment, zone change, and site review in Oakridge that could follow an approximately 107-acre rock and aggregate mining and processing operation known as TV Butte.

The proposed quarry threatens long-term water security, wildlife habitat, and the recreation-based tourism economy that sustains the Oakridge/Westfir area.
