Are you passionate about community resilience and community action? We're
offering in-depth workshops for local BIPOC High School students
(Eugene/Springfield Area) who are inspired to learn more about community
organizing!

WORKSHOPS
OCT. 21 - NOV. 18
Every Saturday starting at 10am
Length of workshops varies between 2 - 3 hours depending on the workshop

About Resilient Leaders in Action: Fall 2023 Cohort
This program will consist of 5 in-person sessions varying between 2-3 hours - held weekly every Saturday, starting October 21st, 2023 through November 18th, 2023. The program will be held at the Beyond Toxics office in the Eugene/Springfield area. Participants will also have the opportunity for one local outdoor learning experience! Participants will receive a $250 stipend amount.

WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR IN A COHORT MEMBER?
1) High School Students
2) Interest in advancing climate, economic, and racial justice in their community
3) Lives in the Eugene/Springfield Area.
4) We strongly encourage women, immigrants, people with disabilities, low-income, and LGBTQ BIPOC folks to apply.

Purpose of Resilient Leaders in Action: Environmental Justice Leadership Fall Cohort

  • Train emerging BIPOC leaders with an environmental and climate justice lens

  • Emphasize the importance of community resilience when standing up against injustice and discrimination

  • Provide a robust resource bank of materials to facilitate environmental action

  • Empower students to make change and organize in their community
