The City of Eugene is now recruiting for all City Boards, Committees and Commissions. The Toxics Board – which is responsible for policy development and recommendations on the Eugene Toxics Right-to-Know Program – has three upcoming vacancies, which the City needs to fill: one Industry position; one Advocacy position; and one Neutral position.
Industry candidates must be employed by or be an agent of one of the businesses required to report under the program. Advocacy candidates must have a proven record of environmental advocacy. The candidate(s) for the Neutral Position, must be nominated by at least four of the other six Toxics Board members. The term for these three positions begins on July 1, 2014, and will expire on June 30, 2017, with the option to reapply for a second three-year term.
